Senior Accountant | Australian Accounting & Tax | BAS | Tax Returns | Xero | Remote (India)

Work directly with an established Australian accounting and advisory firm.

We are seeking professionals with hands-on Australian public practice experience in BAS, tax returns, financial statements and Xero.

Working Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM IST (overlapping with Australian business hours)

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with strong Australian Tax & Business Services experience to manage end-to-end accounting, taxation, and compliance engagements.

This role is ideal for professionals who have worked with Australian accounting firms and are confident handling client portfolios, tax compliance, BAS preparation, and financial reporting.

Role Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Australian accounting and tax engagements
• Prepare and review BAS, IAS, financial statements, and tax returns
• Handle Individual, Company, Trust & Partnership tax compliance
• Prepare workpapers, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end accounts
• Work on Australian taxation matters including Div 7A and CGT
• Manage SMSF accounting and compliance (preferred)
• Communicate with Australian clients and stakeholders
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of compliance requirements
• Work extensively on Xero

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience working with an Australian accounting firm
• Strong hands-on experience in Australian Tax & Business Services
• Practical experience with:
• BAS & IAS preparation
• Australian Tax Returns
• Financial Statements
• Xero accounting software
• Good understanding of Australian accounting standards and ATO compliance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working Australian business hours
