Job Description
Job Title: Senior Accountant (Import-Export & Compliance)
Location: Delhi NCR
Experience: 7–12 Years
Industry Preference: Manufacturing / Import-Export
Key Responsibilities
* Complete management of accounts, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, GST, TDS, and financial reporting.
* Handle import-export accounting, including LC (Letter of Credit), TT payments, advance payments, bank guarantees, shipping documents, and foreign remittances.
* Coordinate with banks for import/export transactions, FEMA compliance, foreign exchange matters, and reconciliation.
* Liaise and communicate effectively with DGFT, Customs, CPCB/SPCB, GST Department, Income Tax Department, and other Government authorities for regulatory approvals, compliance, documentation, and issue resolution.
* Independently handle correspondence with government departments and ensure timely submission of documents, applications, and statutory compliances.
* Manage audit processes, including statutory audit, tax audit, GST audit, and internal audits.
* Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
* Ensure timely GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances.
* Maintain MIS reports, cash flow, budgeting, and financial analysis for management.
* Coordinate with CAs, auditors, bankers, customs consultants, and government authorities.
* Manage EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) compliance by uploading daily sales and purchase data on the EPR portal and maintaining complete records.
* Ensure accurate inventory accounting and reconciliation with warehouse and production teams.
* Maintain proper documentation for all import-export transactions and regulatory compliance.
Required Skills
* Strong knowledge of Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel (Advanced).
* Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) will be preferred.
* Thorough knowledge of import-export documentation and accounting.
* Hands-on experience with LC, TT, shipping documents, Bill of Entry, foreign remittances, and bank documentation.
* Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC, FEMA, and audit procedures.
* Experience in EPR compliance and portal management is mandatory/preferred.
* Excellent communication skills with Government Departments such as DGFT, Customs, GST, CPCB/SPCB, and other regulatory authorities.
* Ability to independently resolve compliance and documentation issues with government authorities.
* Strong analytical, communication, and team management skills.
Qualification
* B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter (CA/CMA qualified will be preferred).
* Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or import-export company.
