We are looking for a Senior Accountant with strong accounting expertise to join our growing team.
Position Overview: This role is responsible for the full spectrum of accounting activities, including General Ledger maintenance and accurate transaction recording in line with accounting standards and internal policies. The role supports the Financial Accounting Lead in producing timely and reliable financial reports.
Job Responsibilities:
Accounting & General Ledger ManagementManage full set of accounts, including the General Ledger, balance sheets, and profit & loss statementsPerform periodic closings, including journal entries, accruals, and prepaymentsReconcile GL and bank accounts, investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness
Financial Reporting & ComplianceAssist in the preparation of management accounts, financial statements, and periodic reports for internal and statutory purposesSupport audit process by preparing audit schedules, providing supporting documentation, and ensuring adherence to internal controlsPrepare reporting pack for holding company
Accounts Payable & Receivable OversightReview and post AP/AR transactions into GL, ensuring accurate coding and proper documentationMonitor aged receivables and payables and escalate issues as necessaryMonitor cash flow requirements and coordinate with the Treasury function to ensure adequate funding for paymentsOversee end-to-end AP payment processes including but not limited to executing payment runs, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policiesReview, verify, and process employee expense claims in accordance with company policies
Tax SupportSupport timely and accurate preparation of GST returns and corporate tax working papersMonitor and ensure timely submission and payment of withholding tax obligationsMaintain proper records to ensure compliance with tax filing and regulatory requirements
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CA/CPA/ACCA qualification is a plus.5 to 8 years of experience in accounting or finance operations, preferably in the energy, commodities, or LNG industryProficient in managing full sets of accounts, particularly GLStrong technical knowledge of local and international accounting standards, tax laws, and audit processingFamiliar with ERP or accounting systems (SAP B1 preferred)Possess good attention to details with strong organisational skills
