Job Overview
The Senior Analyst, Lease Accounting is a key member of Link Logistics’ Accounting and Reporting organization, responsible for the end-to-end accuracy, maintenance, and optimization of lease data within Yardi Voyager. This role combines core lease administration responsibilities with advanced lease accounting and CAM recovery ownership, ensuring lease data integrity from initial setup through ongoing billing, recoveries, and reporting.
The position serves as a subject matter expert for lease setup, abstracts, CAM recoveries, and system configuration, partnering closely with Leasing, Property Management, Construction, AR/Collections, Transactions, and Accounting teams. The role requires strong technical knowledge of commercial lease language, attention to detail, comfort managing multiple priorities, and deep experience with real estate ERP systems in a fast-paced, national portfolio environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lease Administration & Data Integrity
- Review, interpret, and abstract commercial leases, ensuring complete and accurate capture of key terms, dates, and financial provisions in Yardi.
- Input new lease documents into Yardi, manage workflow approvals, and ensure timely lease activation.
- Maintain integrity of lease data throughout the lifecycle, including critical dates, options, amendments, subleases, and terminations.
- Ensure lease documentation is properly stored and maintained in the document repository.
- Monitor, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve lease compliance and data issues during setup and ongoing administration.
Lease Accounting & CAM Recoveries
- Review and validate CAM and recovery setups in Yardi against lease language and accounting requirements.
- Lead and support year-end CAM reconciliations and annual CAM estimate reset processes.
- Ensure accurate setup and maintenance of recovery structures, straight-line rent, lease classification, amortization, CapEx charges, and payment plans.
- Stay current on Yardi upgrades, recovery modules, and optional parameters; identify opportunities for process improvement.
Cross‑Functional Support & Coordination
- Serve as a primary point of contact for recovery- and lease-related inquiries from internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Leasing, Property Management, and Construction teams on square footage verification, rent commencements, milestone completion, move-ins/outs, and portfolio changes.
- Partner with Transactions on estoppels, amendments, acquisitions, dispositions, and refinance-related lease inquiries.
- Assist with audit requests and support monthly and quarterly close activities.
- Maintain and update legal lease contacts and related records.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in ad-hoc projects supporting Lease Accounting and Lease Administration initiatives.
- Document system issues, escalation items, and process enhancements to improve data quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or Business Management.
- 5+ years of experience in lease administration, lease accounting, or commercial real estate finance; experience in logistics or industrial real estate strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager or similar real estate ERP systems strongly preferred.
- Strong ability to interpret complex commercial lease language and apply accounting implications accurately.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
