Position Summary
Analyst/ Senior Analyst Role (0 to 4 years of Consulting/ Executive Search experience)
Research Analysts are responsible for supporting the search strategy by producing industry and/or functional analysis reports and talent pool mappings for active search assignments, internal meetings, and new business initiatives. This includes competitive information, trends across sub-sectors, target company list development and potential prospect identification.
Research Analysts assist in providing analysis and conclusions to be incorporated into client-ready documentation. Additionally, Research Analysts conduct proactive research (identification) that may be dedicated to a practice group or for local assignment needs. Research Analysts may also focus on special projects that expand and enhance knowledge across the practice.
This person interfaces with key team members within the practice/search team as well as the CDT (corporate development teams) in the practice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyst/ Senior Analyst role
Analyze and breakdown new industries, market segments, and competitive landscapes to better understand the clients’ needs and apply intel to research strategies. Use qualitative information to clearly communicate and present data/details to influence decisions.
Provide directed support on assignments, e.g., development of search strategies and target company lists, systematic identification of potential candidates and sources through database, internal network and external resources, and development of client-facing presentations.
Synthesize information accurately, so that it is easily incorporated into a readable, client-ready document.
Assist in high level name generation and talent mapping. Contribute to the long list creation by leveraging internal and external databases to provide commentary on potential candidates.
Provide support in creation of high-quality client documentation (e.g., position specifications, progress reports, company mappings, etc.).
Develop industry and/or functional expertise by maintaining an awareness of industry trends and best in class leaders/future leaders.
Work closely with the practice to develop proactive research on key executives, companies, and industry sectors.
Provide detailed analysis in support of special projects, candidate pool development, as well as external business development and intellectual capital efforts.
Through research via the internet and specialized business information databases, populate our proprietary database, Quest, with essential data on executives and companies as identified and prioritized by the practice.
Track executive movements across industry/functions from various secondary resources
Manage and update information important to the practice/office (i.e., relevant company, executive and industry lists/reports).
Assist in providing content for qualifications packs for new business development initiatives. Develop a solid understanding of the potential client/client’s industry including specific information regarding the value proposition (competitive landscape, strengths, and weaknesses), stock performance, employee count, etc. Synthesize information accurately.
Maintain current awareness of news and issues associated with key client engagements and market opportunities for the practice and share that information and knowledge in a timely way with knowledge management, consultants, and associates.
Participate in kick-off meetings with associates and Consultants to assist in the development of the search strategy. Directly assist Associates with search-related tasks, such as the development of a search strategy and target list and initial executive identification.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE
Strong research skills:
Experience with collecting and organizing information from databases and/or internet resources. Ability to analyze and synthesize data into other formats. Familiar with business reference resources such as Capital IQ, LinkedIn, Board Ex, Naukri, and AI tools etc.
Computer literate:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office platform (emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications)
Service industry expertise:
Experience working in a consulting environment and/or a role involving significant client service and the management of multiple projects toward tight timelines in an environment where competing demands are the norm.
Education:
Post graduate candidates; open to consider Bachelors (Engineering/ Business Management) (from a top tier college)
