Opportunity Overview The Senior Business Analyst reports to the Manager, Service Excellence and leads planning, evaluation, and implementation activities for continuous service improvement. Responsibilities include supporting the incident management process, leading end‑to‑end incident resolution, coordinating cross‑functional technical teams, managing escalations, and facilitating stakeholder communications. Responsibilities Lead continual service improvement plans and identify opportunities to enhance delivery.
Manage incident management activities, plan and organize complex business enablement tasks, and adjust strategies as required. Guide the effective resolution of incidents to improve recovery time and minimize business impact. Conduct and document analysis for trend reporting to all leadership levels.
Mentor, inspire, and educate colleagues in business analysis practices. Determine system requirements, evaluate alternatives, and provide sound solutions to client business problems. Communicate complex information clearly, demonstrating political acuity.
Perform post‑incident reviews and facilitate decision making with business, departmental management, and external vendors. Lead workshops and foster relationships to build trust and collaboration among stakeholders. Exercise sound judgment under pressure and manage on‑call duties as required.
Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a recognized Information Technology program with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience. Knowledge and experience of ITIL processes and standards. Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
Experience working in a complex, multi‑dimensional organization with varied technology needs. Demonstrated ability to engage multidisciplinary teams to achieve business and policy outcomes. Experience with incident management and major incident handling is preferred.
Equivalency Applicants relying on education and experience equivalencies must demonstrate such equivalencies in their application. Additional Information There is one 18‑month term employment opportunity and one temporary opportunity with an anticipated end date of December 31, 2026.
