We are a fast-paced, high-volume immigration law firm looking for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing files with urgency and precision. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced immigration professional who can independently move files forward and help support a busy legal practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume caseload of immigration matters from onboarding to submission
- Review client documents and identify missing or deficient items
- Follow up with clients regarding outstanding requirements, timelines, and next steps
- Prepare applications and supporting documentation for lawyer review
- Draft file summaries, explanation letters, and supporting materials
- Maintain organized and accurate file records
- Monitor deadlines and ensure time-sensitive matters are prioritized properly
- Work closely with lawyers and team members to keep files progressing efficiently
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of immigration case management experience strongly preferred
- Exceptional candidates with 3+ years of directly relevant immigration experience may also be considered
- Strong knowledge of Canadian immigration processes and documentation requirements
- Experience with applications such as:
- Express Entry
- Spousal sponsorships
- Work permits
- Study permits
- Visitor visas / visitor records
- Permanent residence applications
- LMIA-exempt and LMIA-based matters
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple files and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in an immigration law firm is strongly preferred
