Our Electronics Pre-Construction Team is seeking a Senior Construction Estimator to engage as a key leadership role with our teams on some of the biggest projects at Jacobs. The Senior Construction Estimator will work with multiple stakeholders, including operational leadership, sales team, PM/DM, clients, and subconsultants.
This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a JACOBS U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the "best" candidates.
Responsibilities
- Partner cross-functionally with sales, operations, project teams and clients, enabling early cost planning for very large-scale programs
- Support the preparation and execution of change orders, providing expertise and support to contracts administration and project teams to ensure accuracy and alignment with contract terms
- Lead or support change negotiations alongside PMs and DMs, contributing to balanced outcomes that protect both project and organizational interests
- Drive proactive risk management by assisting in the identification of project risks, developing mitigation strategies, and supporting project risk registers to minimize exposure
- Support design package planning and scheduling as well as the effort involved to ensure obligations are met
- Create, update and maintain cost estimates that walk along with our design progression to ensure we are meeting our budget obligations
- Create and coordinate our early understanding of the Cost of Work during pursuit phase

Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of demonstrated estimating experience in semiconductor space
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university, preferably in engineering, construction management, business or contract law
- Commercial awareness coupled with a strategic mindset
- Ability to collaborate with and coordinate diverse teams
- Ability to communicate complex costing strategies with proposed paths forward across broad audiences, including legal teams, project/delivery team and Executive Leadership
- Understanding of, or demonstrated proficiency in, document management systems, cost accounting systems, cost estimating, and project schedules
- Experience using Procore, Timberline or equivalent estimating software
- Ability to develop and maintain large data sets to establish parametric cost databases for semiconductor programs
- Ability to operate under a degree of autonomy and travel as needed/required for business needs
Ideal
- Master's degree from accredited university, preferably in engineering, construction management, business or contract law
- PMP or PMI-CP Certification
- BIM model aptitude to lead quantity extractions and coordinate with cost teams on utilizing data to build up detailed cost estimates
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this position is $150,000.00 to $190,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Jacobs offers health and welfare benefits including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, stock purchase, and possible participation in a deferred compensation plan or the Executive Deferral Plan.
The company also maintains an unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy for full-time salaried/exempt employees, seven paid holidays, and caregiver leave. Some roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, discretionary bonuses, and stock.
