Salary: Level 10 Step 1 ($4,633.50 biweekly)

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Senior Executive Assistant supervises a team that provides a full range of administrative and clerical support services on behalf of the Governance and Executive Operations Department, ensures that TH Council, Elders Council and Youth Council meetings are administratively supported, and provides office reception services. The incumbent is responsible for planning and organizing the Executive Director’s participation in intergovernmental and stakeholder meetings, and serves in a liaison capacity on behalf of TH Council, TH Departments, TH citizens, other governments and stakeholders as required. This position is responsible for overseeing the planning, development and implementation of projects, and regular or special events such as General Assemblies, Moosehide Gatherings, Council ceremonies, community dinners, regular citizen consultations, and other significant meetings and events.
The incumbent is responsible for supporting and managing department initiatives, while respecting confidentiality and maintaining a cohesive and productive working group. The incumbent works to create and foster a healthy, positive and respectful work environment, where justice matters do not experience harassment, bullying and other behaviour that negatively impact workplace morale and employee retention. The incumbent serves on the TH Senior Management/Directors Team.
Essential Qualifications
- Post‑secondary diploma or coursework in office/operations management, public relations, office administration, communications or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education, knowledge, skills and experience may be considered.
- A minimum of three years of experience working in an executive administration or senior management support capacity.
- Demonstrated supervisory, coaching or staff performance management experience.
- Extensive executive level functional experience such as preparing correspondence, proposals, briefing materials, reports and packages, organizing meeting and event logistics, developing or delivering presentations and executive summaries, coordinating administrative procedures and public relations activities, and providing administrative support at an executive level.
- Proven experience in the management of department, program or project administration processes, including developing and implementing work‑plans, monitoring activities and budgets, variance and milestone reporting, and coordinating financial, human and material resources.
- Experience in collecting, analyzing, summarizing and synthesizing research and information.
- Experience and efficiency in minute‑taking, transcribing, record‑keeping and filing.
- Working knowledge of TH values, culture and traditions.
