As the organisation continues to grow, there are seeking a Senior Finance Officer to play a key part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting operational excellence and ensuring compliance across multiple funding streams, all while contributing to meaningful outcomes for the community.

About the Role and your Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Finance Leader, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the Finance team. As the Senior Finance Officer, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate and compliant financial administration across payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, NDIS funding, Plan Management and Support at Home services.

This is a hands‑on role that combines strong technical finance expertise with operational leadership. Acting as the second‑in‑charge within the Finance team, you'll support workflow coordination, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and provide leadership support during the Finance Leader's absence. • Process end‑to‑end payroll accurately and in accordance with legislative requirements, Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions across multiple funding streams.
• Process NDIS Agency Managed claims, Plan Managed payments and Support at Home financial transactions.
• Complete bank, payroll and general ledger reconciliations, financial reporting and month‑end activities.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Work legislation, payroll legislation, NDIS Pricing Arrangements, Aged Care funding requirements and internal financial controls.
• Monitor participant budgets and funding utilisation while maintaining accurate financial records and identifying discrepancies.
• Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring strong financial governance and audit readiness.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance systems, processes and reporting to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Provide operational support to the Finance Leader, assisting with workflow coordination and mentoring team members where required.
• Build strong working relationships with colleagues, participants, providers and external stakeholders while delivering exceptional customer service.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping or Finance, or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience in a Senior finance, payroll or finance administration position
• Experience using financial systems such as Brevity, FlowLogic, MYOB Advanced or similar platforms
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, Fair Work requirements and financial compliance
• Experience with NDIS financial processes, including Agency Managed and/or Plan Managed funding is desirable
• Understanding of Aged Care or Support at Home funding will be highly regarded
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team
• Current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
• Full working rights in Australia
• Salary of $90k to $95k plus super
