We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team at our Dublin headquarters. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a senior leadership role responsible for managing the Dublin Finance team while supporting the continued growth and strategic direction of the business.
You will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity across the organisation, driving continuous improvement, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering with senior leadership to support informed business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Dublin Finance team, providing direction, mentoring, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Work collaboratively with the Finance Director to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence within the Finance function.
- Ensure the Finance department operates within a robust operational, risk management, and internal control framework.
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely financial information, including:
- Monthly management accounts.
- Statutory and regulatory reporting.
- Board reporting.
- Cash flow management and forecasting.
- Financial forecasting and analysis.
- Corporate tax and VAT compliance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior management, acting as a trusted financial advisor to support strategic business decisions.
- Lead or contribute to finance-related projects and wider business initiatives that support the continued growth and evolution of the organisation.
- Develop, review, and maintain finance policies, procedures, and process documentation, ensuring compliance and consistency across the Finance function.
- Monitor financial controls and identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and efficiencies.
What We're Looking For:
- Internationally recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or ACMA.
- Minimum five years' post-qualification experience, with at least eight years' experience in a senior finance management role.
- Proven experience managing finance teams, including responsibility for processes, workflows, performance management, training, and professional development.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Excellent understanding of corporate tax, VAT, and transfer pricing.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple initiatives and meet competing deadlines.
- Strategic thinker with sound professional judgement and strong analytical skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing priorities independently.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Experience within engineering, construction, project management, or professional services.
- Experience supporting business growth, organisational change, or finance transformation initiatives.
- Experience working within an international or multi-entity organisation.
