About The Role

This organisation is seeking experienced EL1–EL2 Senior Procurement & Contracting Advisors to lead complex and strategic procurement activities across a diverse portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to provide expert procurement advice, manage high-risk procurements, and deliver value-for-money outcomes while ensuring compliance with Commonwealth legislation and procurement frameworks.

Requirements

• MUST have an NV1 Security Clearance.
• Ability and willingness to undergo Police Check.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex, high-risk and strategic procurement activities.
• Develop procurement strategies and sourcing approaches.
• Provide expert procurement advice to senior stakeholders.
• Prepare complex Spending Proposals and procurement documentation.
• Lead Approach to Market activities and evaluation processes.
• Manage supplier negotiations and contract establishment.
• Ensure procurement documentation is compliant, defensible and audit-ready.
• Provide probity, governance and risk management advice.
• Mentor and support junior procurement professionals.
• Drive continuous improvement across procurement practices.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships across multiple business areas.

Skills & Experience

• Extensive Commonwealth Government procurement experience.
• EL1: 4+ years managing complex procurement activities.
• EL2: Significant procurement leadership and specialist expertise.
• Advanced knowledge of Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs).
• Strong understanding of the PGPA Act and procurement governance.
• Experience leading high-risk or specialised procurements.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
• Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring capability.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and report writing skills.
