Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and highly competent Project Leader to head a large-scale building construction project in Dehradun. The ideal candidate must possess extensive experience in Project Management Consultancy (PMC) and demonstrate a proven track record of successfully delivering complex building projects from inception to completion.This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, stakeholder management, and the ability to oversee all aspects of project execution, ensuring adherence to quality, timelines, and budget.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & ExecutionLead end-to-end execution of large-scale building construction projects including residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders.Ensure project delivery in line with defined scope, timelines, budget, and quality standards.PMC Coordination & OversightOversee and coordinate with PMC teams, contractors, consultants, and vendors.Ensure compliance with PMC principles, governance frameworks, and reporting mechanisms.Drive effective project planning, monitoring, and control systems.Planning & SchedulingDevelop and review project plans, master schedules, and resource planning.Monitor progress using project tracking tools and ensure timely completion of milestones.Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies proactively.Contract & Vendor ManagementManage contracts, tendering processes, and vendor selection in coordination with procurement teams.Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.Resolve disputes and ensure smooth coordination across all parties.Quality & Safety ComplianceEnsure strict adherence to quality standards, construction specifications, and regulatory norms.Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices at site.Conduct periodic audits and inspections.Financial ManagementMonitor project budgets, cost control, and cash flow.Approve bills and ensure cost optimization without compromising quality.Track deviations and implement corrective measures.Stakeholder ManagementLiaise with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and local agencies in Dehradun/Uttarakhand.Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and clients.Maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders to ensure project success.
Key RequirementsExperience & BackgroundMinimum 20+ years of experience in construction/project management.Strong PMC (Project Management Consultancy) background is mandatory.Proven experience in handling large-scale building projects (> 300 Cr preferred).Experience in hill or terrain-sensitive projects (preferred for Dehradun region).Educational QualificationBachelor's degree in civil engineering (Mandatory)Master's Degree (MBA / M.Tech / Construction Management) preferred
