Functions and Responsibilities

As a Senior QA Manual Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the functional quality of our products through the design, execution, and continuous improvement of tests throughout the entire development lifecycle.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analyzing requirements, designing test strategies, finding scenarios that others overlook, and collaborating closely with development and product teams to deliver high-quality software.

Core Responsibilities

• Design test cases using BDD methodologies and the Gherkin language.
• Analyze user stories and participate in their refinement to identify risks and acceptance criteria.
• Design and execute functional, exploratory, regression, and integration tests on web and mobile applications.
• Validate the correct functioning of REST APIs using tools like Postman.
• Verify the integrity and consistency of information using SQL queries.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira.
• Collaborate with development teams from the early stages of the software development lifecycle, promoting Shift Left Testing practices.
• Participate in the review and continuous improvement of processes, test cases, and quality strategies.
• Promote a culture of quality within multidisciplinary teams.

What You Bring

Required

• More than 5 years of professional experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester.
• Experience designing test cases using BDD methodologies and the Gherkin language.
• Extensive experience performing functional, exploratory, and regression testing.
• Experience validating REST APIs using tools such as Postman.
• Testing native mobile applications.
• Solid knowledge of SQL for data validation.
• Experience working with issue management tools such as Jira.
• Experience working with version control systems (Git).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and the role of testing within the continuous integration process.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a focus on quality.
• Ability to communicate issues clearly and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Languages: English (Advanced) and Spanish (intermediate)

Nice to have

• Test automation with tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Pytest.
• Applying Artificial Intelligence to testing and quality assurance processes.
• Quality strategies for distributed architectures and microservices.
• Basic knowledge of Docker.

Tech Stack

• Testing: BDD, Gherkin, Postman, SQL, REST API Validation, Web Functional Testing, Mobile Functional Testing, Exploratory Testing, Regression Testing
• CI/CD: Bitbucket Pipelines (knowledge of the continuous integration flow)
