Senior Software Developer

Location: Etobicoke, Ontario

Full-time position. We are seeking an experienced senior software developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a range of enterprise applications supporting our flagship financial platforms.

Responsibilities

• Write, modify, integrate, and test software code across multiple platforms.
• Maintain existing computer programs by applying targeted modifications and troubleshooting issues.
• Communicate technical problems, processes, and solutions to stakeholders.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies to improve product performance.
• Manage production support activities for the Business Transaction Reporting Application for commercial clients (bug fixes, incident triage, post‑mortems).
• Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise‑level solutions, including cloud‑based services such as AWS Lambda, Dynamo‑DB, and API Gateway.
• Collaborate with business analysts to capture requirements and produce architecture artifacts (conceptual, logical, physical).
• Participate in architecture checkpoint activities and provide mentorship to peer developers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience designing and developing reporting solutions using Crystal Reports, Power BI, or BOE.
• Strong knowledge of web application development (Internet‑ready applications). JavaScript, Node.js, or equivalent.
• Experience with cloud architecture – AWS Serverless or similar.
• Proven ability to debug production issues and manage incident reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Benefits & Compensation

Competitive salary range CA$75,000 – CA$180,000 yearly, depending on experience, plus benefits and optional stock‑share plans.
