Senior Vice President of Finance - Industrial Fabrication & Construction - Phoenix, AZ
Our client is a leading industrial fabrication & construction business seeking an accomplished Senior Vice President of Finance to lead the finance function, drive operational excellence, and partner with executive leadership to support continued growth and integration.
This executive will serve as the senior finance leader for the business, overseeing all aspects of financial operations while helping guide systems alignment, reporting transformation, and long-term strategic planning
The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of:
- Financial reporting and accounting
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Treasury and cash management
- Tax and audit
- Financial systems and ERP
- Business performance and operational finance
- Capital planning
- Finance transformation and continuous improvement
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the corporate finance function, ensuring accurate, timely, and transparent financial reporting.
- Direct budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial performance management across the organization.
- Partner with operational leaders to improve profitability, drive accountability, and support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee treasury operations, including liquidity management, banking relationships, debt administration, covenant compliance, cash forecasting, and working capital optimization.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, regulatory requirements, tax obligations, and external audit requirements.
- Lead financial support for strategic initiatives including acquisitions, due diligence, integration planning, organizational restructuring, and business expansion.
- Provide financial insight to executive leadership through board reporting, strategic analysis, and business performance reviews.
- Drive modernization of financial systems, reporting capabilities, ERP optimization, business intelligence, and automation initiatives.
- Build strong partnerships across operations, project management, manufacturing, procurement, HR, and IT to align financial objectives with business execution.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing finance organization through succession planning, leadership development, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary financial liaison with lenders, auditors, sureties, tax advisors, legal counsel, and other key external stakeholders.
Experience:
- 20+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
- Executive finance leadership within construction, industrial manufacturing, engineering, EPC, or other project-based industries strongly preferred.
- Experience leading finance within multi-entity or multinational organizations.
- Significant experience leading accounting, FP&A, treasury, reporting, compliance, and business performance functions.
- Proven leadership of large finance organizations across multiple locations.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, ERP implementations, and finance transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA and/or CPA preferred.
