Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition OverviewThe Sensitive Activities Advisor provides expert-level intelligence analysis and operational planning support to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in executing sensitive activities related to counter-weapons of mass destruction (C-WMD) missions. This position serves as a senior subject matter expert responsible for integrating intelligence capabilities with operational planning, supporting the development and execution of sensitive programs, and advising leadership on complex analytical assessments related to threat networks and adversary capabilities. The advisor works within a dynamic, mission-focused environment requiring the highest levels of discretion, analytical rigor, and interagency coordination expertise.This position directly supports DTRA's mission to safeguard the United States and its allies from weapons of mass destruction by providing specialized intelligence analysis, targeting support, and sensitive program management assistance.This position will be located in Kentucky.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Sensitive Activities Advisor shall perform the following duties in support of DTRA operations:Intelligence Analysis and Targeting SupportConduct multi-disciplined intelligence analysis using the Find, Fix, Finish, Exploit, Analyze, and Disseminate (F3EAD) targeting methodology to support counter-threat network operationsPerform pattern-of-life analysis, social network analysis, and link analysis to identify and characterize threat networks, including those associated with improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and weapons of mass destruction proliferation networksFuse intelligence from multiple sources including HUMINT, SIGINT, IMINT, and open-source information to develop comprehensive threat assessmentsSensitive Program SupportProvide advisory support to Special Access Programs (SAPs), Special Technical Operations (STOs), and Alternative Compensatory Control Measures (ACCMs) as required by the missionCoordinate with interagency partners and combatant commands to ensure proper integration of sensitive capabilities into operational planningMaintain strict adherence to security protocols and compartmentalization requirementsOperational Planning and CoordinationSupport the development of operational plans, concept of operations, and mission planning documentationParticipate in working groups, planning conferences, and interagency coordination meetingsPrepare and deliver intelligence briefings to senior leadership and operational personnelAuthor finished intelligence products including assessments, reports, and analytical summariesDatabase and Information ManagementMaintain and update intelligence databases, targeting packages, and analytical productsEnsure proper classification marking, handling, and dissemination of sensitive materialsSupport the development and refinement of intelligence collection requirements Required QualificationsSecurity ClearanceActive Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance is mandatoryMust be eligible for access to Special Access Programs (SAPs) and other sensitive compartmented programsAbility to obtain and maintain additional security accesses as required by mission assignmentEducation and ExperienceCandidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations:Master's degree with a minimum of fourteen (14) years of intelligence analysis experience; ORBachelor's degree with a minimum of eighteen (18) years of intelligence analysis experience; ORTwenty-two (22) years of intelligence analysis experience with no degree requirementSpecialized ExperienceMinimum of five (5) years of experience working with Special Access Programs (SAPs), Special Technical Operations (STOs), or Alternative Compensatory Control Measures (ACCMs)Demonstrated experience with F3EAD targeting methodology and counter-threat network operationsExperience supporting counter-IED or counter-WMD analysis effortsPrior experience working directly with or in support of Department of Defense agencies, combatant commands, or interagency organizationsTechnical ProficiencyProficiency with intelligence analysis tools including Analyst's Notebook for link analysis and network visualizationExperience with Palantir analytical platform for data integration and analysisWorking knowledge of ArcGIS or comparable geospatial analysis toolsFamiliarity with Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A) or similar intelligence processing systemsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard intelligence community databasesDesirable QualificationsGraduate of advanced intelligence training courses such as those offered by the Defense Intelligence Agency or service intelligence schoolsExperience supporting DTRA, Joint Staff, or Office of the Secretary of DefensePrior military intelligence experience at the strategic or operational levelKnowledge of WMD proliferation networks and associated threat actorsExperience with technical intelligence (TECHINT) or scientific and technical intelligence (S &TI)Foreign language proficiency relevant to priority mission areasCertification in project management (PMP) or related disciplinesExperience with intelligence community assessment methodologies and tradecraft standards Work Schedule and TrainingWork ScheduleStandard work schedule is Monday through Friday during normal business hours at the designated DTRA facilityPosition may require occasional extended hours, weekend work, or shift coverage based on operational requirementsTravel may be required to support exercises, conferences, or coordination meetings at CONUS and OCONUS locationsTraining RequirementsCompletion of all required security awareness and handling training within 30 days of start dateParticipation in mission-specific training as directed by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR)Maintenance of currency on analytical tools and methodologies through continuous professional developmentCompletion of any program-specific indoctrination and access training as required for assigned sensitive programs
