Shift Supervisor – Warehouse Operations Inbound / Outbound

Our client, a leading international logistics provider, is seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to manage warehouse operations within the Inbound or Outbound department. This role is suited to a proactive leader who can coordinate people, optimize workflows, and ensure operational excellence in a busy distribution center.

Your Responsibilities

• Supervise warehouse activities during your assigned shift, ensuring operational targets are achieved.
• Organize workforce deployment based on daily workload and changing business priorities.
• Coach, motivate, and evaluate team members while fostering a positive working environment.
• Ensure all warehouse procedures are followed in line with quality, safety, and operational standards.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions that increase efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor inventory accuracy by coordinating stock audits and investigating discrepancies.
• Ensure warehouse equipment and handling tools are used correctly and remain in good working condition.
• Collaborate with planning, transport, inventory, and management teams to maintain smooth operational flow.
• Prepare operational reports and communicate key shift information to the next leadership team.
• Support business continuity during periods of increased customer demand and seasonal peaks.

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline, or a vocational qualification in warehouse/logistics operations.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment with supervisory responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate large operational teams.
• Good understanding of warehouse processes, including receiving, storage, picking, and shipping.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP software such as SAP, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the confidence to make operational decisions.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one is considered an advantage.
• Good spoken and written English; German language skills are beneficial but not mandatory.
• Flexibility to work rotating morning and afternoon shifts.
