SM - Finance (Controllership) Fintech

We are hiring a Finance Controller for a rapidly growing, venture-backed fintech company that is redefining financial services for consumers in India. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys building processes from the ground up, driving financial discipline, and partnering closely with business leaders in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Own end-to-end accounting, controllership, and monthly/annual financial close processesEnsure accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and audit readinessStrengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and financial processes to support scaleLead external audits, due diligence exercises, and investor-related financial requirementsManage treasury operations, reconciliations, and cash flow reportingPartner with leadership teams on business planning, process improvements, and finance transformation initiativesDrive automation and operational excellence across the finance function

Ideal Candidate:

Qualified Chartered Accountant with 6+ years of post-qualification experienceStrong expertise in accounting, financial reporting, audits, compliance, and controllershipExperience working in a high-growth startup, fintech, or PE/VC-backed environment is preferredBig 4 articleship or prior consulting/audit experience will be an advantageDemonstrated ability to build scalable finance processes and operate effectively in an evolving business environmentStrong stakeholder management, problem-solving, and execution capabilities
