Summary
We are looking for an intermediate, backend-focused Developer to join our team. Your mission will be to actively contribute to the development and maintenance of our network automation platforms. You will work on projects that will shape the future of Bell's networks, collaborating closely with other developers and experts.
This role requires experience in developing high-quality software applications. You will be an essential team member, responsible for implementing features and ensuring the quality and performance of your code.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance backend APIs and services.
- Collaborate with developers, product experts, and other stakeholders to integrate new functionalities.
- Write clean, testable, and efficient code, and actively participate in code reviews to ensure overall solution quality.
- Contribute to diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the platform's architecture and performance.
- Take part in database management and optimization.
Critical Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong proficiency in Python and a modern backend framework (e.g., FastAPI).
- Good knowledge of TypeScript and familiarity with a frontend framework like Vue.js.
- Proficiency in leveraging AI-powered coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Gemini) to optimize the software development lifecycle, code reviews, and documentation.
- Good understanding of microservices software architecture concepts.
- Experience with SQL databases.
- Experience working in an Agile software development team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, OpenShift).
- Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
- Comfortable collaborating on frontend development tasks when needed.
- Practical knowledge of integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) via APIs and working with modern Generative AI architectures.
- Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Model Context Protocol (MCP) concepts.
- Strong interest in applying AI technologies within the scope of automation, network orchestration, or AIOps.
