Implements tasks within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), receiving structure and oversight from more experienced staff

Follows well-established internal conventions and standard procedures

Understands internal standards & processes an applies them to make technical decisions

Collaborates with peers, manager, and project lead to gain understanding of tasks and review solutions

May contribute to code & design reviews

2–5 years of experience in software engineering, preferably in data engineering or data platforms Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines Experience working in a cloud-native environment (GCP, AWS, or Azure) with exposure to modern data platforms Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow Experience with BigQuery or similar data warehousing technologies Good understanding of software engineering best practices, including version control (Git), code reviews, testing, and CI/CD Experience working with structured and unstructured data at scale, supporting analytics and reporting use cases Ability to debug issues, optimize performance, and ensure reliability of data pipelines Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance quality and delivery timelines Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Exposure to AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity while maintaining code quality and security standards Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is a plus

Your day to day 

• Design, build, and maintain production-grade data pipelines using Python and SQL• Develop and support workflow orchestration (e.g., Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer) for scheduled and event-driven data processing• Work with BigQuery (or equivalent) to build scalable data warehousing solutions supporting analytics and reporting• Onboard and process data from internal systems and external partners/vendors, including new-region data sources• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting to ensure pipeline reliability and data integrity• Debug production issues, optimize query and pipeline performance, and ensure SLA adherence• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Risk, Credit Modeling, Compliance, Platform) to translate business/data requirements into technical solutions• Follow software engineering best practices — version control, code review, automated testing, and CI/CD• Apply AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity while maintaining code quality and security standards• Support compliant data handling practices appropriate to a regulated financial services environment

What do you need to bring-
