Solutions Engineer
Brio Technologies
Job Description
Solutions Engineer — AI & Data Engineering
Brio Technologies · Solutions Engineering Team
Hyderabad, India (pan-India customer engagement) | Full-time | 3+ years' experience
1. About Brio Technologies & The Role
Every enterprise in India is asking the same question right now: how do we actually put AI and data to work? Our answer is people like you.
Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Hyderabad, Brio Technologies is one of India's leading cloud and AI consulting firms. We are a long-standing Google Cloud partner — named Google Cloud Sales Partner of the Year for India in 2024 — with a footprint spanning India, the US, and the Middle East, and thousands of customers who trust us to modernise their infrastructure, build modern data platforms, and turn AI from a headline into a business advantage.
The Solutions Engineering team is where that promise gets delivered. You will join an agile team of builder-consultants driving IT consulting initiatives across the pan-India market — owning the journey from “here's our business problem” to “here's a working solution.” Twelve months in, you'll have led discovery with CXOs at some of India's most ambitious companies, designed data and AI architectures that won deals, and shipped MVPs that customers run their business on.
As a Solutions Engineer, you are expected to switch between being a technical expert, a trusted advisor, and a strategic partner throughout the week.
2. What You'll Do
- Lead discovery. Run discovery sessions and requirement workshops with business and technical stakeholders, ask the questions that surface the real problem, and scope complex business requirements into clear, buildable solution designs.
- Advise at the top. Engage directly with C-suite executives and senior business leaders — presenting solution architectures, live demos, and business cases in language that connects technology to outcomes and ROI.
- Design solutions that win. Architect end-to-end solutions across AI and data engineering: modern data pipelines and cloud warehouses, analytics and BI, GenAI and LLM-powered applications, and agentic workflows.
- Own MVPs end-to-end. Take full ownership of Minimum Viable Products — from architecture and development through demo, iteration, and handover. You don't just design the solution; you prove it works.
- Power the pre-sales engine. Partner with sales and leadership on deal strategy, build proofs-of-concept and demos, and shape winning responses to RFPs and proposals.
- Raise the bar. Track a fast-moving AI and data landscape, build reusable solution accelerators, and share what you learn so the whole team gets sharper.
3. What We're Looking For (Required Skills & Qualifications)
- 3+ years of experience in solutions engineering, pre-sales, data engineering, AI/ML engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
- Strong data engineering fundamentals — SQL, Python, ETL/ELT design, and data modelling — with hands-on experience on a modern cloud data warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks).
- Practical AI experience: building with LLM APIs, RAG pipelines, or GenAI application frameworks, and a working grasp of the modern AI stack.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform; Google Cloud Platform strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills — you can command a boardroom, simplify without dumbing down, and hold your own in deep technical discussions.
- A consultative, discovery-first mindset: you listen before you architect, and you scope and estimate with rigour.
- A track record of end-to-end ownership — you've taken projects from idea to shipped, not just contributed to a slice.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Willingness to travel across India for customer engagements.
4. Bonus Points (Preferred Skills)
- Google Cloud certifications: Professional Data Engineer, Professional Machine Learning Engineer, or Professional Cloud Architect.
- Hands-on experience with Vertex AI, Gemini models, BigQuery, Looker, or Dataflow.
- Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, Google ADK, CrewAI) and LLM observability tooling (Langfuse, LangSmith, Arize).
- Experience with modern data integration tooling (Fivetran, dbt) or SAP-to-cloud data programmes such as Google Cloud Cortex Framework.
- Prior experience at an IT consulting firm or systems integrator, including proposals, SoWs, or RFP responses.
- A public technical footprint — open-source contributions, technical writing, or community talks.
5. Why Join Us (Perks & Culture)
- Impact you can see. Eight people, zero bureaucracy. Your architecture decisions and your code reach real customers in weeks, not quarters.
- A seat at the big table. Direct, regular exposure to CXOs and decision-makers — the kind of experience most engineers wait a decade for.
- Frontier technology, real stakes. GenAI, agentic AI, and the modern data stack, applied to production problems across industries — from manufacturing and logistics to edtech and healthcare.
- An award-winning ecosystem. Work at the heart of one of Google Cloud's most recognised partnerships in India, with deep access to partner engineering, enablement, and certification paths.
- Accelerated growth. Sponsored certifications, mentorship from senior architects, and a clear runway toward Solution Architect and practice-leadership roles.
- A culture that backs you. Competitive compensation, health insurance, and a flexible, outcome-driven way of working.
