Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, voice, and swallowing disorders in children. The therapist will work closely with psychologists, occupational therapists, special educators, and families to provide comprehensive intervention plans and improve communication outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct speech, language, communication, and swallowing assessments.
- Develop individualized therapy plans based on assessment findings.
- Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy sessions.
- Evaluate and treat children with speech delays, language disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, and other communication disorders.
- Monitor client progress and modify therapy plans as required.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, assessment reports, and therapy notes.
- Educate and guide parents/caregivers on home-based intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with psychologists, occupational therapists, special educators, and pediatricians to ensure holistic care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and team meetings.
- Stay updated with current speech therapy practices and professional development.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Experience in pediatric speech and language therapy.
- Excellent assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning skills.
- Ability to develop individualized therapy programs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Good documentation and report-writing skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a child-centered approach.
- Fluency in Telugu is mandatory. Knowledge of English is required. Hindi is an added advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology / Speech & Hearing (BASLP / MASLP or equivalent).
- Valid registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) is mandatory.
- 2-4 years of relevant clinical experience in speech and language therapy.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, speech delay, developmental delay, learning disabilities, and intellectual disabilities.
- Strong counseling and parent-guidance skills.
- Ability to manage therapy sessions independently.
- Passionate about improving children's communication and developmental outcomes.
