Role Title: Sr Configuration Analyst IND
Position Summary:
Independently performs configuration, troubleshooting, testing and analysis tasks as well as supporting day to day business operations of packaged software applications. These activities include monitoring ticket queues and responding to incident tickets received from the service desk as well as processing change requests and ensuring resolution of technology issues
Job Responsibilities:
- Supports team efforts to configure and maintain packaged software applications across multiple areas of the application. Maintenance may include support of end users in business specific areas or processing, reconciliation and reporting within the system.
- Perform necessary investigation, analysis and evaluation to determine feasibility of implementing new functionality to address business needs or system issues.
- As part of a team, supports requirements gathering for new or modified packaged system functionality by understanding end user processes and through knowledge of the specific packaged application.
- Participates in small to medium system updates impacting single modules to support business processes.
- Participates in the configuration, testing and installation of new system functionality against the business requirements.
- As part of the team, maintains clear concise and accurate documentation for processes and configurations. Ensure documentation is kept up to date and in the proper shared, accessible location.
- As a part of the team, contributes to developing estimates of time and effort required to implement or modify system configurations. Produces necessary work/test plans for accomplishing these efforts.
- Can communicate effectively and work as a team member both within information services and across other groups in support of goals and objectives.
- Develops and executes basic reports using a variety of applications to assist the team or business area.
- Contributes by continuously learning and building knowledge, skills and capabilities in domain of expertise. Participates in planning, refinement, design and implementation efforts within product teams.
Skill and Experience:
- 3+ years of experiencerequired to perform essential job functions.
- Additional Experience Qualifier (optional): Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting packaged applications or other related discipline. * A minimum of three (3) years of domain knowledge in area supported by packaged application preferred. (E.g. Finance, Claims, Insurance Accounting)

Must Have Skills:
The Configuration Analyst II is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and ongoing optimization of Workday modules to support business processes and organizational needs. This role partners closely with HR, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure Workday is configured accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with best practices and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into scalable Workday configurations and solutions.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, business processes, and integrations.
- Support Workday releases by reviewing new features, assessing impact, and recommending configuration changes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline and automate processes.
- Partner with functional and technical teams to support integrations, security, and reporting
- Workday Configuration & Troubleshooting
- Manage configuration changes across tenants (Sandbox, Implementation, Production). Own core tenant setup items such as organizations, supervisory structures, and reference data. Ensure system configurations comply with company policies, data governance, and regulatory requirements. Manage downstream impacts across recruiting, talent, compensation, payroll, and analytics. Troubleshoot configuration issues and provide timely resolution.
- Business Process Design
- Configure, extend, and troubleshoot end to end Workday business processes, including steps, routing, approvals, to dos, notifications, and escalations, with strong control of condition rules, validations, and cross process impacts.
- Security Configuration and Access Governance
- Configure and maintain domain and business process security, role based access, and intersection/segment based security where applicable. Partner with audit and compliance teams to ensure least privilege, traceability, and alignment with regulatory and internal controls.
- Calculated Fields and Rule Logic (Advanced)
- Build and maintain complex calculated fields, including lookups, evaluates, text concatenation, date math, and multi step logic. Apply calculated fields safely and consistently across security, reporting, integrations, validations, and analytics platforms.
- Workday Reporting and Operational Analytics
- Create and support operational and analytical reporting, including custom reports, dashboards, prompts, and data sources. Validate outputs against business definitions and partner with HR analytics teams to ensure consistency across downstream reporting tools such as Vemo.
- Data Loads and Mass Updates (EIB and Related Tools) Execute, monitor, and reconcile data loads and mass changes using EIBs, spreadsheets, and Workday data maintenance patterns. Manage dependencies, error resolution, auditability, and rollback strategies.
- Integration and Downstream Dependency Awareness
- Understand how configuration changes affect inbound and outbound integrations, including Core Connectors, Studio, PECI, and third party platforms such as iCIMS and HR analytics solutions. Coordinate change windows, testing, and validation with integration owners.
- Release, Change, and Environment Management for Workday
- Lead configuration through the full lifecycle from sandbox development to testing and production deployment. Perform regression testing around Workday releases, maintain configuration documentation, and drive standardization and best practices across modules and integrated platforms.
- Recruiting Platform Configuration and Integration (iCIMS)
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and integration teams to support Workday to iCIMS data flows, ensuring alignment of job requisitions, organizational data, worker attributes, and security. Understand configuration dependencies that impact recruiting workflows, reporting, and candidate lifecycle data.
- HR Analytics Platform Enablement (Vemo)
- Support HR analytics and workforce planning capabilities by ensuring Workday configuration, calculated fields, and data structures align with Vemo reporting and modeling needs. Collaborate with analytics stakeholders to validate data accuracy, refresh cycles, and metric definitions.
Education and Certifications:
