Systems Administrator

You will lead technical initiatives, provide expert guidance, and take ownership of our infrastructure.

The Systems Administrator is a technical role responsible for the effective operation, security, and continuous improvement of the organisation’s IT infrastructure and systems. This role acts as a key escalation point within the IT team and plays a critical role in delivering and managing a robust, secure, and scalable technology solutions.

Working closely with the Head of IT and IT Operations Manager, the Systems Administrator will lead technical initiatives, provide expert guidance, and take ownership of our infrastructure to ensure the stability and security of the organisation’s IT environment.

The role:

A diverse hands on role where duties include:

• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced infrastructure, system, and security incidents
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all ongoing IT activities and systems
• Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of IT services
• Administer core platforms including servers, networks, and endpoint systems
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices including training & awareness campaigns and reporting
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions

About you

As a proactive experienced technical IT expert with strong problem solving skills you will have a proven track record in infrastructure and cloud platforms including

• Microsoft 365
• Microsoft Azure
• Microsoft Intune

And proficiency in system and technology solutions including.

• Windows Server and PowerShell
• Networking and Firewall solutions
• Active Directory & Group Policy
