Position Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist
Location: 100% onsite, Scarborough, ON (nearest major intersection is Kennedy and 401)
Travel Required: Quarterly travel to the USA, required upon commencing employment. Duration could be anywhere from 1-5 days at one time.

Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Talent Acquisition Specialist who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full‑cycle recruitment (preferably in manufacturing, startup, or agency settings), combined with general Human Resources support experience. This includes benefits enrollment, health and safety inspection and reporting, supporting employee engagement initiatives, and researching best practices.
You’ll play a vital role in attracting top talent, supporting employee engagement initiatives, and enhancing and maintaining a smooth onboarding/offboarding experience for new and existing employees.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage high‑volume (minimum 10+ active roles at one time), end‑to‑end recruitment across all departments and levels. Experience with quick recruitment lead times is required.
- Post roles on job boards such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Facebook, Zip Recruiter, Post‑Secondary Institutions, Professional Associations, etc.; leverage social media and conduct information interviews and job evaluation analysis with hiring teams to ensure the description accurately reflects the candidate profile sought.
- Write and revise compelling job descriptions tailored to specific roles and teams.
- Design and coordinate structured interview processes, including standardized interview questionnaires and scorecards.
- Maintain accurate record‑keeping of all interviews conducted as per company standards and policy.
- Collaborate with the Head of Human Resources and hiring managers to forecast hiring needs and refine recruitment strategies that increase brand awareness and attract high‑performing talent.
- Lead building talent pipelines across multiple departments: proactively source, engage, and nurture qualified candidates before vacancies arise to speed up hiring and improve quality.
- Support campus recruitment, job fairs, and initiatives to enhance employer branding, such as hosting networking events and panel sessions.
- Support strengthening recruitment and onboarding process including collecting employee testimonies, creating new hire packages, collecting, analyzing and reporting on key metrics, such as employee‑employer satisfaction at 30, 60, 90 days, etc.
Human Resources Support & Administration
- Support the onboarding and offboarding experience, including documentation, training coordination, and employee check‑ins.
- Assist with HR compliance activities including tracking of training, certifications, and documentation.
- Participate in the coordination of employee engagement events, internal surveys, and feedback evaluations.
- Support the Head of HR in health and safety inspections, reporting, and follow‑up actions.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including occasional support to the CEO & President.
- Document and organize meeting minutes and follow up with relevant parties to support meeting success.
- Enroll staff with benefit programs and HRIS, updating information as required.
- Research training and development initiatives and other areas of the HR function.
- Support grant application processes, such as Ministry to Training (CAN), sustainability/ECO new hires for CAN and US operations.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of recruitment experience, ideally in a manufacturing, startup, or staffing agency environment.
- Post‑secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is required.
- Engineering degree is an asset.
- HR designation CHRP acquired is preferred.
- Active member of the HRPA is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage high‑volume recruitment under tight timelines.
- Strong writing skills, with experience drafting job postings and interview guides.
- Well‑developed interview skills, with the ability to analyze technical abilities and soft skills such as communication, adaptability, emotional intelligence, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with onboarding best practices and HR compliance processes.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally to the USA upon employment commencement.

The expected annual salary range for this position is $60,000‑$80,000, with final compensation determined based on skills, qualifications, and relevant experience. We are committed to pay equity and to offering compensation that is fair, transparent, and competitive.
