Skills
At LG Legacy Group, LLC, you will provide strategic tax planning and consulting services while overseeing complex tax engagements for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, partnerships, corporations, and closely held businesses. You will collaborate directly with Partners, Managers, and clients to develop practical tax solutions and serve as a trusted business advisor.
Your experience will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
- Serving as the primary advisor for a portfolio of sophisticated tax clients.
- Providing proactive tax planning and consulting strategies throughout the year.
- Leading and reviewing complex tax engagements across multiple industries.
- Building long-term relationships with business owners and high-net-worth individuals.
- Mentoring, coaching, and developing Managers, Seniors, and Staff.
- Identifying opportunities to expand client relationships and firm services.
- Participating in networking, business development, and community outreach activities.
- Collaborating with firm leadership on practice growth and operational initiatives.
Additional Job Responsibilities Include
- Direct the preparation and technical review of complex individual, trust, estate, partnership, S corporation, and C corporation tax returns.
- Provide strategic tax planning and consulting to clients on business transactions, entity structure, succession planning, and tax-saving opportunities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key client relationships while delivering exceptional client service.
- Partner with firm leadership to identify new business opportunities and support practice development initiatives.
- Lead research and resolution of complex federal, state, and local tax matters.
- Represent clients before the IRS and other taxing authorities, including responding to examinations, notices, and technical inquiries.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate the impact to clients and internal team members.
- Manage multiple engagements, staffing, budgets, and project timelines while maintaining profitability and quality standards.
- Mentor, coach, and evaluate Managers, Senior Accountants, and Staff Accountants to support their professional development.
- Foster collaboration across engagement teams while promoting technical excellence and accountability.
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and retaining top talent.
- Contribute to firm initiatives, process improvements, and technology adoption to enhance efficiency and client service.
Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA license required.
- 10+ years of recent public accounting tax experience.
- Previous experience managing complex tax engagements and leading client relationships.
- Demonstrated experience supervising and developing professional staff.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong client-service orientation with sound professional judgment.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, CCH Axcess Tax, CCH ProSystem fx, and Bloomberg Tax (BNA) is a plus.
