Our Concord R&D Trackers Team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Project Manager to support the Engineering Project Management function in the initiation, planning, and execution of engineering project tasks and sustaining activities across Cobham Satcom’s advanced antenna tracking systems portfolio. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Project Managers, Mechanical, RF, Software, and Systems Engineers to help coordinate technical projects, maintain documentation accuracy, and ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations within the R&D environment. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a multidisciplinary engineering setting, contributing directly to the development of mission‑critical satellite communication technologies.
This is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Concord, California. Responsibilities Project Coordination & Documentation Support Technical Project Managers (TPMs) in planning, scheduling, and tracking project deliverables. Engage with key stakeholders to document and resolve daily project blockers and action items.
Implement efficient strategies to organize and manage project documentation and records. Generate and maintain as‑built drawings, change‑management documentation, and engineering logs under the direction of the project team. Procurement & Resource Management Coordinate and monitor the procurement, receipt, and physical storage of test equipment and prototype hardware.
Maintain inventory and ensure traceability of engineering resources and assets. Provide direct assistance in transitioning “paper” designs into functional hardware prototypes. Support the setup and maintenance of test and development environments in collaboration with engineering staff.
Operational & Administrative Support Execute general organizational and administrative tasks to support ongoing engineering and project activities. Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes, templates, and documentation practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Technology, or a related technical discipline.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills , with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams. 5 Years of Technical Project Management experience with a strong focus on product development / New Product Introduction (NPI) . Recent TPM experience (within the last 3–5 years) in a product development environment.
Demonstrated ability to partner with engineering, product, and cross‑functional teams to deliver complex technical products. Demonstrated motivation, initiative, and problem‑solving ability in a dynamic R&D environment. Must be a U.S.
Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) in accordance with U.S. Export Control regulations.
Willing and able to work 100% on‑site in Concord, CA. The Salary Range for this Full‑time position is $140,000-160,000.
