Senior Technical Project Manager Schedule Monday Friday, 8am 5pm Top 3 Skills End-to-end technical program management scheduling, budgeting, resource planning, and milestone execution in an engineering or advanced manufacturing environment Cross-functional leadership across commercial, R&D, and manufacturing teams driving alignment and decisions across all levels MS Project and project management tools active daily use for scope management, risk tracking, and schedule control What You'll Do Own programs from kickoff through delivery define the plan, manage the schedule, track the budget, and keep everything moving Lead technical teams through problem-solving and strategy execution without losing sight of cost and timeline targets Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external customers managing scope, setting expectations, and maintaining strong relationships Monitor program assumptions and customer requirements continuously flag changes, assess impact, and adjust accordingly Build and defend business cases, including P&L implications and value propositions tied to division strategy Present program status, risks, and direction clearly to both working-level teams and senior leadership Drive milestone definition and accountability know when to push, when to escape, and when to recommend a program change Oversee product testing and evaluation to confirm performance and manufacturing readiness Apply structured stage-gate program processes to guide program progression and decisions What We Need From You 5 7+ years managing technical programs in an engineering, R&D, or advanced manufacturing environment Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and hold them accountable to deliverables Strong command of MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint these are daily tools, not occasional ones Clear communicator who can translate complex technical topics for both project teams and executive leadership BS in Engineering or a related technical field relevant hands‑on experience considered in lieu of degree Bonus If You Have MS degree or background in optics or photonics Experience managing Stage 3 5 product transfers to manufacturing SAP or ERP experience in a manufacturing environment Background working with science and technology or research organizations A Few Things to Know 100% onsite in Fairport, NY remote and hybrid are not available for this role #J-18808-Ljbffr
