Technical Project Manager
Elios
Job Description
Location: Houston, TX | Type: Full Time | Setup: Hybrid | Experience: 5+ years About the Role We're hiring a Technical Project Manager to lead cloud migration and application infrastructure initiatives from kickoff through cutover. You'll own delivery end to end: scoping the work with stakeholders, building realistic plans, keeping cross‑functional teams moving, and catching risks before they become escalations. The client is a boutique consultancy that helps energy and heavy‑industry enterprises modernize their technology, from ERP and cloud infrastructure to data and AI readiness. Their projects sit at the intersection of complex legacy environments and aggressive modernization timelines, which is exactly where a strong technical PM earns their keep. Most of the work centers on Azure environments and the application estates that depend on them. This role is for someone who doesn't need a playbook handed to them. If you've watched a migration stall because nobody owned the hard conversations, and you know you'd have run it differently, keep reading. What You'll Do Lead cloud migration projects in Azure environments, from discovery and planning through execution and stabilization Own application infrastructure workstreams: dependencies, environments, cutover sequencing, and the details that derail timelines when nobody tracks them Guide cross‑functional teams of engineers, architects, and client stakeholders without relying on formal authority Build and maintain project plans that reflect reality, then communicate status in language executives and engineers both trust Surface risks early, propose mitigations, and elevate with a recommendation rather than a problem Run stakeholder alignment across client teams who often have competing priorities Drive execution with minimal oversight, keeping leadership informed without needing them to unblock you Qualifications 5+ years of technical project management experience, with at least some of it on infrastructure or migration projects Hands‑on experience managing cloud migration initiatives, ideally in Azure environments Working knowledge of application infrastructure: environments, networking basics, dependencies, and what a cutover actually involves A track record of taking ownership of complex projects and delivering them without heavy supervision Strong written and verbal communication, comfortable in front of both engineers and executives Experience managing risk proactively, not just logging it in a register Consulting or client‑facing delivery experience is a plus Why Join Us You’ll join a nimble team where PMs are trusted to run their projects, not just report on them. The firm is small enough that your work is visible and your judgment matters, but the clients are large enterprises with real stakes, so the problems stay interesting.
If you want to own delivery on consequential infrastructure projects with a team that values execution over process theater, this is a good place to do it. #J-18808-Ljbffr
