Job Description
Responsibilities Act as the primary onsite representative of KPIT VEDM Manufacturing Practice. Serve as the single point of contact for customer manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, and operations teams. Lead daily coordination, weekly reviews, and sponsor‑level status meetings.
Build credibility and trust as the face of KPIT delivery at the plant. Own end‑to‑end delivery of manufacturing and process engineering engagements. Translate customer objectives into structured scopes, milestones, and execution plans.
Manage schedules, risks, dependencies, and change control across onsite and offshore teams. Ensure disciplined execution aligned with automotive quality, governance, and delivery standards. Provide technical leadership in process engineering and advanced manufacturing initiatives.
Support efforts related to line balancing, takt time optimization, capacity analysis, and process flow definition. Guide new line, new model, and process change readiness activities. Ensure solutions are practical, plant‑feasible, and production‑ready.
Lead or oversee time studies, motion studies, work measurement, and standard work definition. Drive Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and waste elimination initiatives. Validate shop‑floor data and translate findings into actionable improvement recommendations.
Oversee structured capture of shop‑floor data, videos, observations, and process documentation. Enable offshore KPIT teams with clear context, priorities, and validated inputs. Review and integrate offshore analysis outputs into overall project delivery.
Consolidate technical findings into clear, executive‑ready reports and presentations. Communicate complex manufacturing insights effectively to plant leadership and sponsors. Proactively elevate risks, issues, and dependencies with mitigation plans.
Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. 8–15 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, process engineering, or industrial engineering. Strong hands‑on expertise in IE methodologies, VSM, and lean manufacturing. Proven experience managing customer‑facing, onsite delivery roles.
Ability to coordinate effectively with global offshore engineering teams. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Fluency in English; German language skills strongly preferred.
