The Technical Project Manager – Database Platforms is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering enterprise database initiatives supporting mission-critical applications, analytics, and cloud modernization efforts. This role partners with Engineering, Architecture, Cloud, Security, Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, and business stakeholders to successfully deliver database platform projects across relational, NoSQL, in-memory, and cloud-native technologies. The Project Manager oversees project planning, Agile execution, risk management, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise database platform projects.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and resource plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Database Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, Architecture, and Application Development.
• Own annual and mid-year FIT initiative submissions for the DB Engineering org. Translate approved initiatives into Jira Cap project hierarchy for work allocation, capacity planning, financial tracking, and portfolio governance.
• Own the full CapEx capitalization lifecycle: FPSA Self-Assessment gating, participate the Finance Accounting Treatment review and manage month-end close-out sequences to ensure accurate CapEx/OpEx governance & SOX compliance.
• Own Jira admin, governance, training and Team enablement.
• Conduct T-Time Compliance Monitoring.
• Track project health, budgets, KPIs/Executive Dashboards, risks, dependencies, and executive dashboards.
• Coordinate database modernization and cloud migration initiatives involving Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and managed cloud database services.
• Ensure alignment with governance, compliance, security, High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and operational standards.
• Prepare executive status reports and communicate delivery progress, milestones, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Maintain project documentation in Confluence.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of Technical Project Management or Program Management experience leading enterprise infrastructure, cloud, or database initiatives.
• Experience managing complex technical projects involving Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and cloud database platforms.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery using Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
• Hands-on experience using Jira to manage Capabilities, Features, Epics, User Stories, Tasks, Releases, Dashboards, and Portfolio Reporting.
• Experience maintaining Jira for time reporting, capacity planning, engineering work tracking, financial reporting, and governance.
• Working knowledge of database architecture, cloud platforms, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and database security concepts.
• Experience using Confluence for documentation and knowledge management.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, risk management, and executive presentation skills.

• Familiarity with Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Dynatrace, or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience supporting cloud transformation or database modernization programs.
• Familiarity with AI tooling and adoption of AI solutions in project management.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Agilist, or SAFe Scrum Master certification.
