About the Role
Our client is seeking a commercially driven and technically competent Senior Sales & Product Management Engineer to drive growth and market success for assigned products and solution lines. This role combines technical sales, product management, business development, and customer engagement, serving as the key link between customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering foundation, commercial mindset, and the ability to translate customer requirements into practical technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business DevelopmentDevelop and execute sales strategies to grow market share and revenueIdentify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across target industriesManage strategic customer accounts and build long-term relationshipsProvide pre-sales technical support including solution proposals, presentations, and commercial discussionsAchieve sales targets through proactive account management and customer engagement
Product ManagementManage product portfolio lifecycle from introduction, growth, maturity, to phase-outAct as product champion for assigned lines and solution categoriesWork closely with principals, OEM partners, and suppliers to align products with market demandConduct market research, competitor analysis, and pricing reviewsSupport marketing campaigns, promotions, and go-to-market strategiesDeliver product training to internal teams and customers
Technical & Cross-Functional CoordinationLiaise with Engineering, Production, QA, Procurement, and Supply Chain teamsSupport technical issue resolution, product improvements, and customer escalationsCoordinate sourcing, localisation, customization, and technical validation activitiesReview CAD drawings, BOMs, assembly drawings, and inspection documentationEnsure product quality and operational readiness across regional sites
RequirementsMinimum 3–5 years of experience in Technical Sales, Product Management, Application Engineering, or Business DevelopmentIndustry experience in one or more of the following sectors:Optics, Photonics, Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Instrumentation, Manufacturing, OEM SolutionsProven track record managing technical products, engineered systems, or industrial solutionsExperience working with international suppliers and customers across Asia / Europe / US preferredBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related disciplineStrong understanding of optical systems, tolerances, materials, and precision assemblies advantageousExperience with CRM / ERP systems and Microsoft OfficeFamiliarity with CAD drawings, BOMs, and technical documentationStrong communication, presentation, and commercial negotiation skillsWillingness to travel regionally and internationally when required
