Associate Director – Lead Quality Assurance

Responsibilities

• Leads in the implementation, control, and distribution of all Quality Assurance practices, standards, methodologies and metrics.
• Applies extensive, in-depth knowledge, skills, and practices to perform complex assignments.
• Supports Quality Assurance team on Payments programs or SWIFT projects.
• Conducts program reviews and complex process audits; assists in major audits/reviews of programs and subcontractors.
• Evaluates and reviews products and processes; provides status reporting to Quality Assurance and site management.
• Involves senior management to resolve deficiencies or compliance issues in a timely manner as needed.
• Monitors adherence to quality standards in the development and implementation of production applications.
• Monitors the effectiveness of the assurance process.
• Assists in planning and estimation of Quality Assurance support for new programs and projects.
• Helps to establish quality standards to be universally applied throughout the site; recommends quality improvements.
• Manages and mentors QA team members, establishing performance metrics and career development paths.
• Defines overall testing strategies aligned with product roadmaps and release cycles.
• Designs comprehensive test packs covering functional, regression, integration, and acceptance testing requirements.
• Establishes regression testing protocols and maintains evolving regression test suites.
• Designs SIT scenarios validating end-to-end workflows and coordinates UAT activities with business stakeholders.
• Develops and implements test automation strategy, selects tools and builds maintainable automated test suites.
• Establishes quality KPIs including defect escape rates, test coverage, and automation ROI.
• Generates regular quality reports and dashboards highlighting trends, risks, and recommendations.
• Communicates testing status, risks, and blockers to development, product, and business teams.
• Participates in requirements reviews to identify testability issues early.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience as a QA Lead / QA Manager or in a similar role
• Experience with testing across SWIFT ISO 20022 MX messages, and 15022 MT standard messages
• Experience managing a QA team to deliver high-quality work by deadlines
• Experience using automation test tools and writing test scripts in Shell, Python, or Java
• Working experience with tools Control-M, GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders
