BIM Coordinator

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Coordinator to join our Architecture team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves coordinating multidisciplinary models, ensuring compliance with BIM standards, facilitating clash detection and coordination meetings, and supporting project teams in the effective implementation of BIM workflows.

The BIM Coordinator will work closely with architects, engineers, BIM modelers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate BIM activities across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
• Facilitate BIM coordination meetings and clash detection sessions using Navisworks and other BIM tools.
• Integrate multidisciplinary models into a federated model and ensure model integrity.
• Review, validate, and monitor incoming BIM models for accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
• Enforce BIM standards, naming conventions, model management procedures, and file organization protocols.
• Identify, track, and resolve model clashes and coordination issues in collaboration with project teams.
• Support project teams with BIM-related troubleshooting and technical guidance.
• Ensure compliance with company BIM standards, project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and ISO 19650 requirements.
• Coordinate model exchanges between internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders.
• Monitor BIM deliverables and ensure timely submission of coordinated models.
• Assist in developing and improving BIM workflows, templates, and best practices.
• Provide mentoring and technical support to BIM modelers and project team members.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in BIM Coordination within an architectural consultancy or design firm.
• Minimum 8+ years of overall production experience in architectural design drafting across all project stages.
• Experience working on large-scale and multidisciplinary projects is preferred.
• GCC/Middle East project experience will be an advantage.

Key Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360
• Strong understanding of BIM standards and processes, including ISO 19650.
• Knowledge of architectural, structural, and MEP systems and their coordination requirements.
• Experience in model federation, clash detection, and coordination workflows.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Competencies

• Experience in developing BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and project BIM standards.
• Familiarity with Dynamo, ACC workflows, and model auditing processes.
• Ability to lead BIM coordination activities independently and support project delivery teams effectively.
