Role Description The Business Development Executive – Cloud Sales (Contract) will focus on identifying and closing new business opportunities for AITORCH’s cloud and AI services in a remote work environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and generating leads, qualifying opportunities, and managing the sales pipeline from initial contact to contract closure. The role involves presenting cloud and AI solutions to prospective clients, preparing proposals and pricing, and collaborating with technical teams to align offerings with client needs.
The executive will maintain ongoing account relationships, conduct regular follow-ups, and ensure a high standard of communication and service. This contract position requires consistent reporting on sales activities, market trends, and competitive insights to support strategic growth.
Role Overview
We're hiring a BDE to drive top-of-funnel and mid-funnel sales activity for our cloud consulting and AI services business. You'll be responsible for prospecting, qualifying leads, running discovery conversations, and building a healthy pipeline in partnership with our technical and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify prospects for cloud migration, DevOps, and AI consulting engagements (Azure & GCP)
- Run outbound prospecting via email, LinkedIn, and calls to generate qualified meetings
- Conduct discovery calls to understand prospect pain points, tech stack, and budget/authority/timeline
- Build and maintain a CRM-driven pipeline; keep deal stages, notes, and next steps current
- Collaborate with the Founder/Platform Engineering Lead and technical team to shape proposals and pitches
- Support development of sales collateral: one-pagers, ROI/TCO comparisons, case studies
- Track and report weekly/monthly pipeline metrics (calls, meetings booked, conversion rates)
- Stay current on cloud market trends, competitor positioning (AWS/Azure/GCP), and partner programs
- Represent AITorch at industry events, webinars, and partner-led activities as needed
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–3 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or lead generation — IT/cloud/SaaS preferred
- Working knowledge of cloud concepts (Azure, GCP, or AWS) sufficient to hold a credible first conversation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable with cold outreach
- Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce, or similar)
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar prospecting tools
- Self-starter mentality — comfortable working in a small, fast-moving team
- Good understanding of enterprise sales cycles (multiple stakeholders, longer close times)
Must be located in commutable distance to Hyderabad, Telangana, India
Good to Have
- Prior experience selling cloud migration, DevOps, or managed services
- Exposure to Apollo.io, Apollo-style lead enrichment tools, or outbound sales automation
- Understanding of AI/ML consulting offerings and how they're positioned to enterprise buyers
- Experience working with Microsoft or Google partner ecosystems
