Job Description
A reputable full-service law firm is seeking a Corporate Legal Assistant to join its Corporate Services team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys corporate maintenance work, thrives in a structured environment, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain corporate records, minute books, and database systems
- Prepare, organize, and file corporate documents, including tracking executed materials
- Assist with share certificates, corporate file openings, and record closings
- Update directors, officers, and shareholders registers
- Draft correspondence, report materials, and basic corporate resolutions
- Conduct corporate searches and assist with filings
- Monitor deadlines and maintain organized electronic and physical files
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in corporate law within a law firm environment
- Familiarity with corporate database systems
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high volumes of documentation
- Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced setting
- Professional communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Legal Assistant Diploma or equivalent education is considered an asset
