As Executive, Planning within the Venue Partnership team, you will gain exposure to strategic foresights and global trends, corporate governance and public accountability as well as key developments in the arts landscape in Singapore and the Asia Pacific region. Working in an arts centre, you will also gain insights into arts programming, operations and venue management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic & Corporate Planning
Support supervisor in meeting the organisation’s strategic and corporate planning and reporting needs including Environment scans, research and data collection, tracking and analyses of the organisation’s performance (e.g organisational KPIs) as well as the wider social, technological and economic environments to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for Esplanade.Provide communication and management reporting of Esplanade’s impact and outcomes, key strategies and action plans internally, and to relevant stakeholders via presentation decks, Impact Scorecards and Reports, Annual Reports.Prepare funding proposals and presentations to major funders, sponsors and donors on the organisation’s programmes and its impact on society.Participate in cross-department projects/initiatives, including managing timelines, budgets, organisation of meetings/discussions to ensure project delivery, timely updates and buy-in from stakeholders.
Association of Asia-Pacific Performing Arts Centres (AAPPAC) Secretariat
Esplanade is the Secretariat of AAPPAC, a network comprising of over 80 members from over 20 countries. The Association aims to facilitate learning and exchanges in programming and collaborations, training, marketing and venue management as well as technical issues. You are an integral part of the AAPPAC Secretariat, supporting and working closely with the Executive Council to:Enable connections, learning and exchanges amongst AAPPAC members.
This involves attending to queries, preparing and distributing information/materials to members, as well as planning and management of AAPPAC programmes. The Secretariat is expected to work closely with centre-hosts to plan and organise the annual AAPPAC Conferences, as well as facilitate initiatives such as the Connecting Series, Grant for Training & Exchanges and Fellowship Programme.Source for content, edit, and design the layout for the quarterly e-newsletter. Manage, maintain, and update AAPPAC’s website and social media platforms regularly (including any ad-hoc web-related projects e.g. website revamps), working in consultation with Esplanade’s IT Team and an external vendor.Support the Gen-Sec to recruit new and retain existing members to grow the Association and cultivate longer term and deeper engagement.Assist in the organisation of meetings, discussions, events and initiatives.
This includes sending meeting agenda and papers, invites and RSVPs, collating inputs and responses, taking minutes of meetings and logistics.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
A diploma or degree from a recognised institution in arts management, business administration, data science or equivalent professional experience is preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and visual communication tools.Extremely organised, meticulous and self-motivated.Ability to work as part of a team and work well under pressure.Must be able to anticipate, discern work priorities and meet deadlines independently.Hardworking, open to trying new things, responsible and have a positive attitude to work and colleagues.Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments.Interest and Knowledge of the arts industry in general are an asset.Irregular working hours and "hands-on" work will be necessary. You might be expected to travel as part of AAPPAC Secretariat responsibilities.Salary: $3,600 - $4,000
