Field Service - HD Mechanic

Macmahon are seeking a Field Service - HD Mechanic to join our Perth Workshop team in a unique hybrid role that bridges workshop rebuild execution and on‑site commissioning.

About the Role

• Location: Perth Workshop & Site‑Based
• Roster: Varies depending on support required; 80% Perth based, and a minimum of 20% on site
• Compensation: Competitive base rate + Specialist Allowance + Site Allowance

Key Responsibilities

• Support heavy equipment rebuild programs within the Perth workshop
• Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and final quality checks prior to dispatch
• Lead equipment mobilisation and demobilisation activities
• Perform on‑site commissioning of rebuilt equipment
• Provide warranty support, fault finding, and optimisation in the field
• Represent the workshop professionally to internal and external stakeholders
• Provide clear reporting and technical feedback to workshop teams

About You

• Trade qualified Heavy Duty Mechanic (HD Fitter)
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capability
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience in field service or commissioning (desirable)
• Exposure to warranty support or rebuild environments (desirable)
