Summary
The Manager, Finance is responsible for the analytical review of all Finance and Accounting Support functions for a major field operation, including Inventory Management and Control, Financial Analysis and Planning, Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Billing. The role serves as the financial check and balance as Ryder makes customer commitments.
Essential Functions
- Analytical review/Corrective Action: Review financial and operational results, compare actual results to contract and forecast, and act as financial advisor to General Managers and teams.
- Financial Coordination of Contract: Negotiate and set up new accounts, match financial risks and rewards, establish cost controls and billing procedures, and set up customer reporting processes.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure financial integrity of location results and coordinate with Headquarters and Field.
- Planning: Conduct monthly forecasting and annual planning.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) – preferred.
- Seven years or more managing Finance and Accounting, including inventory management, financial analysis and planning, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and billing.
- Functional knowledge of the WMS system relevant to the location – intermediate level.
- Working understanding of the Supply Chain Management and logistics process relevant to the location – intermediate level.
- Advanced computer and spreadsheet proficiency (Excel).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – preferred.
