Financial Analyst - German Speaking

Overview

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a finance professional to support international local productions, with a focus on German productions. The role involves preparing various participation statements and contributing to key financial processes in a global environment.

Your Role Accountabilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statements including producer participation, talent reporting (§32d UrhG), subsidy reporting, and dubbing contributor reporting for US titles
• Coordinate posting and payment of German statements, ensuring required approvals in collaboration with the P2P team
• Coordinate corrections of expenses incorrectly assigned to local production titles with accounting teams
• Respond to internal and external partner queries related to statements, cost, and revenue details
• Review participation statements from third parties and coordinate processing with accounting and P2P teams
• Prepare intercompany reporting, document business processes, and support financial audits
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and respond to ad hoc requests from territories and the Home Office

Qualifications & Experience

• Extensive experience in Finance, Accounting or Controlling
• Fluent in English and German (writing, reading and speaking)
• Ability to read and understand legal contracts
• Strong analytical capabilities
• Excellent knowledge of Excel, SAP R/3 FICO and BW
