Role Description The Fund Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. The role involves perodic calculation and verification of Net Asset Value (NAV) for investment funds, preparation and review of financial statements, and maintenance of accurate fund accounting records. The Fund Accountant will perform reconciliations of cash, positions, and transactions, assist in periodic financial reporting, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, responding to audit requests, and supporting process improvements in finance and reporting workflows. The role requires strong attention to detail, timely delivery of reports, and adherence to internal controls and policies.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Fund Accounting and an understanding of finance principles.
- Candidates should possess skills in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting.
- Candidates should possess expertise in NAV calculation and validation for various types of funds.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of core Finance concepts, including investment products and capital markets.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CFA, CPA) are an advantage.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting or fund administration software, with strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Ability to work accurately under deadlines, maintain rigorous attention to detail, and follow established controls and processes.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
