General Assembly Group Leader

Job Title: General Assembly Group Leader Job SummaryThe General Assembly Group Leader is responsible for supervising daily production activities in the Electric Vehicle (EV) General Assembly area to ensure production targets, quality standards, safety compliance, and operational efficiency are achieved.This role leads a team of operators responsible for EV assembly processes such as battery pack installation, high-voltage system assembly, chassis integration, and final vehicle assembly. The Group Leader ensures strict adherence to safety standards, especially related to high-voltage systems, and supports continuous improvement initiatives within the EV production line. Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate daily operations in the EV General Assembly line.Ensure production output, quality targets, and takt time are achieved.Monitor manpower allocation and perform line balancing.Ensure compliance with EV safety standards, especially high-voltage (HV) safety procedures.Monitor proper installation of battery systems, electrical harnesses, and EV components.Identify and escalate production or quality issues to Supervisors or Manufacturing Engineers.Support troubleshooting activities to minimize downtime.Lead daily production briefings and communicate KPIs to team members.Ensure implementation of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.Monitor team discipline, attendance, and performance.Ensure adherence to company policies, EHS standards, and EV manufacturing regulations.

QualificationsMinimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.Minimum 10+ years of experience in automotive or EV manufacturing environment.Experience in General Assembly operations is preferred.Understanding of EV systems (battery pack, BMS, high-voltage systems) is an advantage.Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and safety standards.Required Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills:Production line supervisionUnderstanding of EV assembly processesBasic high-voltage safety awarenessRoot cause analysis (5 Why, Fishbone)Productivity and quality monitoringSoft Skills:Strong leadership and team managementGood communication and coordination skillsProblem-solving capabilityDecision-making under pressureStrong safety mindset
