Job Description – QC Team Leader (General Assembly – EV) Job PurposeTo lead and control quality inspection activities in the General Assembly (GA) process for Electric Vehicles (EV) to ensure all units meet quality standards and prevent defects from reaching customers.2. Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise the QC team in the General Assembly areaEnsure all inspection activities are conducted in accordance with SOP, Work Instructions, and quality standardsMonitor in-process and final inspection for EV assembly unitsEnsure all vehicles meet quality requirements before release to the next process or deliveryIdentify, analyze, and report defects or non-conformitiesLead root cause analysis and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Coordinate closely with Production, Engineering, and other departments to resolve quality issuesEnsure implementation of containment actions for any quality issuesMonitor and control quality performance (defect rate, rework, warranty issues)Ensure proper usage and calibration of measuring tools and QC equipmentReview and validate QC reports and documentationSupport internal and external audits3. EV-Specific ResponsibilitiesEnsure quality inspection for battery system installation, high-voltage components, and wiring harnessVerify torque standards for critical componentsConduct inspection on gap & flush, fitment, and cosmetic qualitySupport functional testing and end-of-line (EOL) inspectionEnsure compliance with EV safety standards (high voltage safety awareness)4.
Additional DutiesDrive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, QCC, Lean)Conduct daily QC briefing and team coordinationDevelop team capability through training and coachingEnsure implementation of 5S and safety standards (HSE)Monitor team discipline and performance5. QualificationsMinimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s Degree (S1), preferably in EngineeringMinimum 5+ years experience in QC / Quality Inspection in manufacturing (automotive / EV preferred)Strong knowledge of quality control tools (7 QC tools, problem solving, CAPA)Experience in General Assembly processUnderstanding of EV systems (battery, HV components) is an advantageStrong leadership and team management skillsGood analytical and problem-solving skillsGood communication skillsWilling to work in shiftsFamiliar with Lean Manufacturing / 5S / Kaizen
