Job Description
- Lead the Project Management Office (PMO) and establish project governance, execution methodologies, standards, and best practices across the organization.
- Manage multiple automation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, quality, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop project execution strategies, project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource allocation plans.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration between Business analysts, Electrical, Control Automation, Software Development, Digital Automation, Procurement, and Commissioning teams.
- Monitor project performance through KPIs, MIS reports, dashboards, risk registers, and executive reviews.
- Identify project risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution.
- Review technical proposals, project architecture, execution strategies, and engineering deliverables before implementation.
- Lead project review meetings with customers, internal stakeholders, and senior management.
- Ensure effective planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control across all projects.
- Establish project management processes, documentation standards, templates, and governance frameworks.
- Mentor and develop Project Engineers, and PMO team members to improve execution capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with organizational quality systems, safety standards, and customer requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, digital transformation, and innovation within project execution.
- Build strong customer relationships and serve as the executive point of contact for strategic project execution and escalations.
- Support business growth by providing execution inputs during proposal development, estimation, and project planning.
Authority
- The Head – PMO is authorized by the Management to oversee project execution across all business units.
- The role shall have the authority to:
- Approve project execution plans, schedules, milestones, and governance processes.
- Allocate and prioritize project resources across multiple business units.
- Review project budgets, schedules, risks, and recommend corrective actions.
- Escalate project risks and critical issues to senior management.
- Lead customer review meetings and represent the organization on project execution matters.
- Monitor project profitability, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Approve project documentation, execution methodologies, and reporting standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, PMO maturity, and project management excellence.
- Recommend process improvements, organizational changes, and resource optimization strategies.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, quality systems, and project management best practices.
What skills and experience you’ll bring to us
Qualifications we are looking for…
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics & Communication (ECE), Electronics & Instrumentation (E&I), Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- PMP/PRINCE2/PMI certification is preferred.
- MBA or Project Management certification will be an added advantage.
- 8–10 years of experience in Industrial Automation, Control Systems, Digital Automation, MES, or Industrial Software Projects.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading Project Management teams.
Knowledge & Skills, we are expecting…
- Rockwell / Siemens hot Redundancy (Hot Back up) Soft switching (Warm developing MES Backup)
- Strong expertise in Project Management, Project Governance, Risk Management, Budgeting, Resource Planning, and Stakeholder Management.
- Hands-on knowledge of Industrial Automation technologies including PLC, SCADA, HMI, Drives, Servo Systems, MES, IIoT, and Industry 4.0 solutions.
- Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, Jira, MS Visio, and advanced Microsoft Office.
- Excellent leadership, customer management, negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and cross-functional engineering teams while driving continuous process improvement.
