Head of Risk – APAC Payments Fintech

A fast-growing global payments platform is establishing its APAC hub in Singapore and seeks a Head of Risk to design and lead the risk function for its regional business.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of an Enterprise Risk Management framework in line with MAS guidelines.Oversee operational and technology risk across transaction processing, safeguarding, incident management, and system resilience.Manage financial and liquidity risks, including oversight of customer fund safeguarding and treasury exposures.Build and enhance fraud and financial crime controls, ensuring compliance with MAS scam/fraud prevention expectations.Partner with business and product teams to assess risks for new products, features, and integrations.Provide regular risk reporting to senior management and board committees.Drive a risk-aware culture across the business, embedding risk thinking into daily operations.

Key Requirements

8+ years in risk management within payments, fintech, or banking.Strong knowledge of Singapore’s Payment Services Act (PSA), MAS Notices, TRM Guidelines.Track record in managing fraud, operational, and technology risk in financial institutions.Experience engaging with MAS and senior stakeholders, ideally during licensing processes.Professional certifications (FRM, PRM, CAMS, CISM) valued.Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution, and to build a new team in a scaling environment.
