With 3 decades of experience, Pune Gas is evolving into a solutions-driven organization with integrated products, systems, and digital offerings.
Role OverviewWe are looking for a hands-on product leader who will work closely with the Executive Director to drive product innovation, build new solutions (including SaaS platforms), and manage the lifecycle of existing offerings. This role combines product strategy, engineering coordination, business understanding, and execution ownership. The ideal candidate will act as a mini-CEO for all products, owning everything from ideation to commercialization and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities1. Product Strategy & DevelopmentWork closely with leadership to define and execute the product roadmap for Pune GasIdentify opportunities to build innovative solutions for LPG & Natural Gas usersLead the development of custom B2B SaaS platforms for industrial and commercial gas consumersConceptualize and develop new hardware + system + digital integrated solutions2. Product Lifecycle OwnershipOwn end-to-end lifecycle of products: Ideation Design Development Testing Launch ImprovementContinuously upgrade existing offerings such as: LPG systems, vaporizers, gas leak detection systems, etc.Ensure products remain competitive, scalable, and aligned with market needs3.
Tech & Engineering CoordinationWork with internal teams and external vendors for software development, product design and prototypingTranslate business requirements into technical specificationsDrive execution timelines and ensure quality delivery4. Commercial & Costing OwnershipDevelop product costing, pricing strategies, and unit economicsEnsure products are commercially viable and aligned with business goalsSupport sales team in structuring customized solutions5. Sales Enablement & TrainingTrain the sales team on product features, value propositions and use casesDevelop sales tools, pitch decks, and technical documentation6.
Marketing & Product CommunicationCollaborate with marketing to build brochures, catalogs, and product collateralsClearly communicate product benefits and differentiationSupport branding and positioning of new product lines7. Team LeadershipLead and manage a team of 2-3 membersBuild a culture of innovation, ownership, and execution excellenceMentor team members and define clear roles and deliverables
Experience5-10 years of experience in:Product management / engineering / technical solutionsIndustrial products, energy, or engineering companies preferredExperience in building or managing SaaS / digital products is highly desirableSkills & CompetenciesStrong product thinking and problem-solving abilityAbility to bridge technical + commercial + customer perspectivesCross-functional collaborationStrong communication skillsMindsetEntrepreneurial and ownership-drivenComfortable working in a fast-evolving, build-from-scratch environmentWilling to be hands-on (not just strategic)
