Health and Safety Specialist in Toronto

Elevate workplace safety standards at Minto as a Health and Safety Specialist in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will navigate compliance and enhance health programs across the organization.

Reporting directly to the Health and Safety Manager, you will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with Ontario's OHSA while supporting Minto Properties Inc. and Minto Apartment REIT. This role requires strong program management skills, dedication to site inspections, and ability to conduct audits for safety effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities: • Partner with Minto’s properties and support safety programs • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal policies • Conduct site inspections and maintain a strong on-site presence • Monitor safety audits and legislative changes • Facilitate safety talks and trainings to promote awareness

Requirements: • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety • 3–5 years’ experience in program management • Health and safety designation preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and H&S software • Valid driver’s license and First Aid Certification
