Job Description
We are currently partnering with a leading global financial services organisation seeking an experienced Interim Investment Funds Lawyer for a min 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to join a high-performing legal team supporting a broad range of investment management and funds-related matters within a sophisticated, international environment. Key Responsibilities Advise on the structuring, establishment and ongoing operation of UK and cross-border investment funds and related investment vehicles.
Provide guidance on UK regulatory frameworks, including the FCA Handbook and the UK AIFM regime, working closely with Compliance and Risk teams. Draft, review and negotiate fund documentation, including constitutional documents, investment management agreements and service provider arrangements. Negotiate client investment management and related commercial agreements.
Support strategic investment initiatives from a legal and regulatory perspective. Partner with colleagues across Investments, Operations, Compliance, Risk and Finance to deliver pragmatic, commercially focused advice. Assist with fund and investment governance processes, committee materials and regulatory filings.
Identify and help manage legal and regulatory risks in line with internal policies and risk frameworks. Contribute to legal know-how, precedents and process improvements. Candidate Profile UK-qualified lawyer with 4+ years’ PQE.
Strong experience in investment funds and/or asset management, gained in a leading law firm or in-house financial services environment. Particular experience across private equity and hedge fund structures would be advantageous. Solid understanding of the asset management industry and its regulatory landscape.
Excellent drafting, analytical and negotiation skills. Commercial, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach. Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
