Full Job Description Lab Accessioner primarily works in a busy office setting. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and an ability to focus on the task at hand in a busy setting. They will receive specimens from Phlebotomists and Couriers. Enters patient demographic and testing information into laboratory information system. Label specimens, screen specimens for accuracy, deliver specimens to department for testing, prepare specimens and requisitions for delivery to reference labs and assist with data entry and clerical functions.
Responsibilities
Receive specimens from Phlebotomists and Couriers.
Enter patient demographic and testing information into laboratory information system.
Label specimens, screen specimens for accuracy, and deliver specimens to department for testing.
Prepare specimens and requisitions for delivery to reference labs.
Assist with data entry and clerical functions.
Education High School or better
Licenses & Certifications High School Diploma
